Voters Split on if Cutting Government Workers Is Good for America

• Forty-three percent (43%) of voters believe that the reduction of 300,000 federal workers this year is good for America.
  • Forty-five percent (45%) believe it is harmful, with twelve percent (12%) unsure.
• Only thirty-four percent (34%) of voters believe that the reduction of government employees is good for the economy.
  • Forty-seven percent (47%) believe it was bad, with thirteen percent (13%) unsure.
  • Republicans (57%) believe it is good for the economy, while democrats (69%) and independents (52%) believe it hurts.
• Forty-five percent (45%) report that the impact of federal employees has had no or hardly any impact on their daily life and services.
  • Thirty-two percent (32%) report some impact, while only ten percent (10%) report a lot of impact from the cuts.
  • Thirteen percent (13%) are unsure of the effects.
• Forty-five percent (45%) of the country believe private sector workers work harder than government employees.
  • Thirty-seven percent (37%) believe both work equally hard, with only six percent (6%) reporting government employees as the harder worker.
