Trump’s Approval Rating Drops on Almost Every Important Issue

• This month saw new or tied lows in approval ratings on all three top issues for voters.
• The Economy is always the most important issue for voters, and this month, 39% approve of the way President Trump is handling the Economy.
  • This is down 5 points from January, and ties a low previously set in November.
  • A strong majority (59%) disapprove, a new high, including 42% who Strongly Disapprove.
• Another important issue is Immigration, and 44% approve of Trump’s handling in that area, suprassing a previous low of 47%.
  • More than half (53%) disapprove, also a new high, including 42% who Strongly Disapprove.
  • Since January, approval dropped by 4 points and disapproval increased by 2 points.
• Regarding Health Care, just 37% approve of Trump’s handling, and 58% disapprove.
  • This surpasses November’s low of 38%, when 59% disapproved.
  • In January, 43% approved, and 55% disapproved.
  • Interestingly, only 5% recently rated Health Care as most important in an open-ended question, but 16% said it was most important compared to other categories in December (when Obamacare was set to expire).
• With the highest rating, a majority of voters (52%) approve of President Trump’s handling of National Security, but 46% disapprove.
  • With the next highest rating, 47% approve of his handling of Crime. More voters (49%) disapprove of the way he’s handling Crime.
  • Gun Laws are next in line for approval at 46%. Still, 47% disapprove.
• As is expected, the party in the White House offers higher approval ratings on each of these issues.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, February 18-19, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
