On Party Voters Trust More, Republicans Inch Forward

• When it comes to the party voters trust more on the issue they consider most important, 43% choose Republicans, and 37% choose Democrats.
  • This comes despite President Trump’s personal job approval rating sinking to its lowest in his second term.
  • The trust in Republicans went up 2 points this month, after staying stagnant at 41% in late January and early December.
  • The trust in Democrats went down 2 points from late January and early December when, it was 39%.
• The Economy is consistently the top issue for voters by large margins.
  • Forty-three percent (43%) say they trust Republicans more on the Economy.
  • About one third (35%) trust Democrats more.
  • This is little changed from last month, when Republicans led 42% to 35%.
  • Meanwhile, 10% trust Both Parties Equally, and 10% trust Neither.
• On Immigration, the Republican advantage went back to double digits after slipping last month. It is now 47% to 34%.
• Last month, inflation was a pure tossup, but Republicans eked forward this month.
  • Forty percent (40%) of voters trust Republicans more this month, while 36% trust Democrats more.
• In contrast, Democrats have an 11-point edge on Healthcare, 45% to 34%.
  • On most issues, 8% to 11% said they trust Neither party.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, February 25-26, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
