May Monthly Job Approval for Trump: Slide Hits 6 Month Mark
- For the full month of May, President Trump’s job approval sits at 42%.
- This is 1 point down from April, and 8 points down from October when it was 50%.
- It is also the 6th consecutive month that the President’s job approval has fallen.
- The Napolitan News survey of 7,116 Registered Voters also found that 56% disapprove (up 1 point from April).
- These numbers include 22% who Strongly Approve, and 45% who Strongly Disapprove.
- Eight in 10 Republicans (79%) approve, but opinions within the party differ widely. Trump-policy voters approve by 94%, and only 55% of traditional GOP Republicans approve.
- Not surprisingly, 87% of Democrats disapprove.
- A majority (68%) of Independents also disapprove.
