Just 29% Rate Economy Good or Excellent
- This week, economic optimism continued downward, as 29% of registered voters rate the economy as Good or Excellent, down 2 points from 2 weeks ago, but down 4 points from a month ago.
- Thirty-five percent (35%) rate the economy as Poor, down 5 points from 2 weeks ago.
- A majority of Republicans (54%) say the economy is Good or Excellent, up 2 points from 2 weeks ago, but down 1 point from a month ago.
- Just 11% of Republican voters say the economy is Poor.
- Democratic voters’ views are not quite so optimistic: only 12% say the economy is Good or Excellent, while 55% say it is Poor.
- Only 29% of voters say the economy is getting better, down 4 points from 2 weeks ago.
- More than half (51%) say the economy is getting worse, up 7 points from 2 weeks ago.
- Fifty-six percent (56%) of Republicans say it is getting better (down 7 points from 2 weeks ago), and 20% say it is getting worse.
- In contrast, 77% of Democrats say it is getting worse, and just 9% say it is getting better.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, March 2-3, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
