In Their Own Words: Most Important Issue Is Still the Economy

• The Economy remains in the top spot among voters’ most important issues.
  • When asked to respond in their own words, 31% of voters say the Economy is the most important issue.
  • With a combined total of 24%, Iran (11%), Foreign Policy (8%), and War (5%) take second place among top issues.
  • Politics (12%) is also commonly at the top of voters’ minds.
  • For Republicans, the top issues identified as most important are the Economy (30%), Iran + Foreign Policy + War (25%), and Politics (12%).
  • For Democrats, the top issues are the Economy (30%), Iran + Foreign Policy + War (25%), and Politics (12%).
