In Their Own Words: Economy Still Second Place on Important Issues

• Over recent weeks, the war in Iran has displaced the Economy as the most important issue for voters.
  • When asked to respond in their own words, 29% of voters mention Iran (14%), Foreign Policy (11%), or War (4%).
  • As other issues crowd voter concerns, the Economy ranking is 26%, which is up 3 points from last week but still down 5 points from 3 weeks ago.
  • Immigration (9%) and Politics (9%) are also commonly at the top of voters’ minds.
  • For Republicans, the top three issues identified as most important were Iran + Foreign Policy + War (30%), the Economy (27%), and Immigration (14%).
  • For Democrats, the top issues were Iran + Foreign Policy + War (27%), the Economy (24%), and Politics (13%).
