In Their Own Words: Economy Still Holds Its Place as Top Issue

  • The Economy is still at the top of the list among voters’ most important issues.
    • When asked to respond in their own words, 32% of voters say the Economy is the most important issue.
    • With a combined total of 22%, Iran (10%), Foreign Policy (8%), and War (4%) take second place among top issues.
    • Politics (12%) is also a common issue at the top of voters’ minds.
    • For Republicans, the top issues identified as most important are the Economy (32%), Iran + Foreign Policy + War (26%), and Immigration (12%).
    • For Democrats, the top issues are the Economy (32%), Iran + Foreign Policy + War (19%), and Politics (12%).
