In Their Own Words: Economy Increasingly at the Top of Voters’ Minds

• When asked to respond in their own words, 42% of voters say the economy is the most important issue right now.
  • Among 2,000 Registered Voters, politics (26%), immigration (10%), and social issues (9%) also ranked highly.
  • Healthcare (5%), and foreign policy (3%) are far less commonly at the top of voters’ minds.
  • For Republicans, the top three issues identified as most important were economy (45%), politics (22%), and immigration (14%),
  • For Democrats, the top three issues were economy (38%), politics (31%), and social (10%).
  • Economy is showing annother increase of 1 point after a 6 point increase in our October 30th poll, a reverse of the trend since early early August of a steady decline.
  • Voters have recently spoken out with concern to their personal finances and the US economy.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 2,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, November 3-6, 2025. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
