In Their Own Words: Economy Continues as Most Important Issue

The Economy remains in the top spot among voters’ most important issues.
- When asked to respond in their own words, 30% of voters say the Economy is the most important issue.
- With a combined total of 21%, Iran (9%), Foreign Policy (8%), and War (4%) take second place among top issues.
- Politics (13%) are also commonly at the top of voters’ minds.
- For Republicans, the top issues identified as most important are the Economy (32%), Iran + Foreign Policy + War (24%), and Immigration (13%).
- For Democrats, the top issues are the Economy (28%), Iran + Foreign Policy + War (19%), and Politics (18%).
