In Standard List, Economy Remains Top Issue, Then Inflation

• Given a list, 27% of voters still rate the Economy as the most important political issue right now.
  • Among 1,000 registered voters, Inflation (21%) and National Security (14%) also rank highly.
  • Not as many voters rank Healthcare (10%) and Immigration (10%) as top issues.
  • Climate Change (5%), Abortion (4%), Gun Laws (4%), Crime (3%), and Education (2%) are also less commonly at the top of voters’ minds.
  • For Republicans, the top issues identified as most important are National Security (23%), the Economy (21%), and Inflation (18%).
  • For Democrats, the top issues are the Economy (30%), Inflation (25%), and Healthcare (13%).
• A strong majority of voters (78%) said that the Economy is Very Important.
  • Seventy-five percent (75%) said that Inflation is Very Important.
  • Another 70% said that Healthcare is Very Important.
  • Sixty-five percent (65%) rated National Security as Very Important.

  • Consistently, in the open-ended format, economic issues are the top issues.
