In Standard List, Economy Is Still Top Issue, Then Inflation

  • Given a list, 28% of voters still rate the Economy as the most important political issue right now.
    • Among 1,000 registered voters, Inflation (23%) and National Security (11%) also rank highly.
    • Not as many voters rank Healthcare (11%) and Immigration (7%) as top issues.
    • Crime (5%), Climate Change (5%), Abortion (4%), Education (3%), and Gun Laws (3%) are also less commonly at the top of voters’ minds.
    • For Republicans, the top issues identified as most important are the Economy (26%), Inflation (20%), and National Security (19%).
    • For Democrats, the top issues are the Economy (32%), Inflation (24%), and Healthcare (13%).
  • A strong majority of voters (71%) said that the Economy is Very Important.
    • Seventy percent (70%) said that Inflation is Very Important.
    • Another 63% said that Healthcare is Very Important.
    • More than half (54%) rated National Security as Very Important.
