‘He Had Those Red Splotches’: James Carville Speculates Without Proof That Trump Is Hiding STD Diagnosis From Public

Democratic strategist James Carville floated an unverified theory regarding former President Donald Trump’s health in a Wednesday appearance on “The Bulwark” podcast.

During an appearance on “The Bulwark” podcast, host Tim Miller asked Carville on his take about Trump’s health and if he’s hiding a diagnoses from the public. Carville suggested that Trump may be concealing a sexually transmitted disease (STD) diagnosis and his speculation is rooted in an incident where Trump’s personal bodyguard, Keith Schiller, and another individual allegedly removed Trump’s health records from his internist’s office in 2017.

“First of all, in January of 2017, Keith Schiller and some other goon broke into his internist office and stole his health records, remember the interns Dr. Bornstein who unfortunately is now deceased,” Carville told Miller. “What was in there? What was in those health records? I mean, they’re not gonna make a public unless unless you say you want to make them public. Why did they do that?”

The incident, involving Dr. Harold Bornstein, who later claimed he felt violated by the forcible retrieval of the records, has fueled ongoing speculation about what those records might contain, NBC News reported in May 2018. Bornstein reported feeling “raped, frightened, and sad” after Schiller and another man forcibly seized the former president’s medical records from his officer after he revealed that he had been prescribing hair growth medication to Trump for years.

Carville pointed to this as possible evidence that Trump is hiding significant health information from the public and highlighted Trump’s own statements about his health challenges during the Vietnam War era.

“I strongly suspect, just a suspicion and he had those red splotches on his head. Okay, he said his mission during the Vietnam War was to not get the clap or STD or whatever the fuck they call it. I don’t think he succeeded that, that’s my personal view. I think he even failed at that mission,” Carville continued.

Despite Carville’s strong suspicions, Miller acknowledged the importance of not spreading disinformation. “I think your syphilis theory is interesting. I don’t know, I don’t want to spread disinformation,” Miller told Carville. However, Carville maintained that the unusual circumstances of the records’ removal warrant further scrutiny.

“That’s a suspicion of mine and it stokes up what I say about the health record is true [sic]. Maybe it’s something else,” Carville added.

In 2015, then presidential candidate Trump chose not to disclose his medical records, instead he presented a brief letter from his doctor claiming he would be the healthiest individual ever elected president, The New York Times reported.

The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
