Harris Faulkner Visibly Triggers Dem Guest After She Tells Him Trump Is Facing ‘Lawfare’ Over Immigration
Fox News host Harris Faulkner frustrated a Democratic guest on Wednesday, reminding him about numerous lawsuits against President Donald Trump’s efforts to deport illegal immigrants.
The Supreme Court temporarily halted the Trump administration’s efforts to use the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport members of the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua (TdA) early Saturday morning, saying those who were slated for deportation had a right to challenge their removal. Democratic strategist Fred Hicks admitted he did not support the “anti-oligarchy” tour targeting President Donald Trump and White House senior advisor Elon Musk led by Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, but said the American people weren’t happy, prompting Faulkner’s response.

“I think the reality is that people are hurting right now,” Hicks said. “So it’s not about socialism versus capitalism as my colleague [National Review writer Caroline Downey] just tried to paint it in that way. Right now it’s about who’s going to fight for Main Street. You know, Democrats, we did lose the young voters, we did lose the working class in the last election, but I think a lot of people are now realizing that that was a mistake.”
“Now, they are frustrated with both sides, but we look at the numbers, the polling numbers, left and right, and we see that they are not happy,” Hicks continued. “Independents are not happy, Democrats are not happy, women at large are not happy with what’s happening right now. And so, there’s gotta be a place somewhere, someone has to speak for the actual middle class, working class, but it’s not happening and that’s the frustration.”
CNN data reporter Harry Enten noted Thursday that 45% of Americans said the country was on the right track when it came to immigration, compared to 14% during the last months of the Biden administration. Long a signature issue of President Donald Trump, illegal immigration became a prominent issue in the 2024 campaign after a series of crimes involving illegal immigrants.
“You know what is happening? The man that they just voted to put into office is facing more injunctions as president on one of his top two issues, illegal immigration, than any other president in history,” Faulkner said. “I mean, I mention Obama, but there are others who got rid of hundreds of thousands to millions of criminal illegal aliens in this country without a single injunction. Trump is fighting lawfare again. So that is what is happening.”
“I can imagine those voters aren’t happy,” Faulkner concluded.
Upon taking office, Trump issued several executive orders to address illegal immigration, including designating Mexican drug cartels, TdA and the El Salvadoran prison gang MS-13 as foreign terrorist organizations. Trump invoked the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to speed up the deportation of members of TdA and MS-13 on March 15.
