82% Say Shutdown Has Little to No Impact on Daily Lives

• 82% say the shutdown has had Hardly Any or No Impact in their daily life.
  • This number includes 43% who did not know there was a shutdown, 24% who said the shutdown had No impact, and 15% who said the shutdown has had Hardly Any impact.
  • Just 11% say the shutdown has had Some impact, and 4% say it has impacted their daily lives A Lot.
  • Both Democrats (77%) and Republicans (87%) say the shutdown has had Hardly Any impact or No Impact on their daily lives.
  • Interestingly, 12% of politically engaged voters say the shutdown has impacted their daily lives A Lot.
• Like last week, 57% of voters say there is currently a partial federal government shutdown.
  • Twenty-one percent (21%) say there is not a shutdown at this time and 23% are not sure.
  • A majority of Democrats (68%) and a smaller majority of Republicans (53%) know the federal government is partially shut down.
  • During the second week of the last government shutdown in October, far more voters (81%) said there was a shutdown.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, February 23-24, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
