67% Say $75B on ICE Is Too Much as Approval Slides

• Forty-four percent (44%) of registered voters approve of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
  • This is down 3 points from January’s ratings and a new low.
  • More than half (53%) disapprove (up 6 points from January), with 40% Strongly Disapproving.
  • By a 75% to 21% margin, Republicans approve of ICE.
  • On the other side of the aisle, Democrats disapprove by a 78% to 20% margin.
• Since the Trump Administration allocated $75 billion to ICE last year, ICE is unaffected by budget disputes and government shutdowns, and it has the resources to continue its work.
  • About 4 in 10 voters (39%) say that’s good for America, but 56% disagree and say that’s bad for America.
  • A majority (78%) of Democrats say it’s bad for America that ICE’s budget and resources are unaffected.
  • Conversely, 68% of Republicans say it’s good for America.
• With $75 billion being more than the entire budget of any military in the world (except for America’s and China’s), 67% of voters say that’s Too Much.
  • Of that number, 47% say it’s Far Too Much.
  • Only 12% say $75B is Too Little.
  • Seventeen (17%) say that amount is about the Right Amount.
  • A plurality of Republicans (43%) say $75B is Too Much
  • Far more Democrats (86%) agree that it’s Too Much, including 70% who say it’s Far Too Much.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, February 18-19, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
