61% Are Likely to Watch Tonight’s State of the Union

• Forty-two percent (42%) of voters said that the State of the Union address is happening this week.
  • Another 38% are not sure.
  • Smaller numbers said the address happened last week (6%), thought it was next week (6%), or didn’t think it had been scheduled (7%).
  • Democrats were slightly more informed with 49% saying the State of the Union address is this week.
  • One quarter (26%) of voters aged 18-34 said it is happening this week, and 46% are not sure.
• Six in 10 voters (61%) said they are at least Somewhat Likely to watch the State of the Union address, which is taking place this evening.
  • Seventeen percent (17%) said they will Definitely watch, and 21% are Very Likely to watch.
  • Nineteen percent (19%) said they are Not at All Likely to watch the address.
  • A large majority of Republicans (79%) are likely to watch, including 24% who are Definitely watching.
  • About half (52%) of Democrats said they are likely to watch, but 27% said they are Not at All Likely to watch the address.
