49% Pay Credit Card Balances and Save Each Month
- Over the past month, 49% have paid all of their credit card balances in full.
- Forty-one percent (41%) have made only partial payments, similar to previous months.
- More than two-thirds (69%) of the Elite and Elite Adjacent groups pay the full balance. This percentage is the highest since June when it was 70%.
- In addition, 49% of voters regularly set aside money in savings or retirement accounts.
- Forty-five percent (45%) of voters say that all of their income goes to current living expenses.
- When asked about a surprise emergency expense of $1,000, 49% of voters said they could make the payment without cutting back on their current lifestyle.
- Forty-seven percent (47%) would have to cut back on expenses for a while if an emergency expense came up.
