49% Favor Federalizing DC Police
- Forty-nine percent (49%) of voters favor President Trump’s decision to federalize the Washington, DC, police.
- A Napolitan News survey found that 45% are opposed.
- These numbers include 25% who strongly favor the decision, and 30% who strongly oppose it.
- Just 35% say Washington, DC is safer than most cities.
- Half (50%) of voters say it is more dangerous.
- These numbers include 10% who say it is much safer and 18% who say it is much more dangerous.
- A plurality (40%) did not know at the time of this survey if the DC police union had expressed support or opposition in regards to this federal takeover.
- The rest were split: 27% said they supported it, and 33% said they opposed it.
