48% Approve of SCOTUS Job Performance

• Currently, 48% of voters approve of the way SCOTUS is performing its job, while 41% disapprove.
  • These numbers include 12% who Strongly Approve and 18% who Strongly Disapprove.
  • Approval by all voters is up 5 points from January 2026.
  • Republicans approve by a margin of 63% to 23%, while Democrats disapprove by a margin of 58% to 31%.
• A plurality (35%) still consider the court to be too conservative, but that is down 7 points from January.
  • Just 19% say it is too liberal and 28% say it is about right.
  • Republican voters are divided: 38% say the balance is about right, 27% say it’s too liberal, and only 13% say it’s too conservative.
  • Democratic voters are more unified: 60% say the court is too conservative, 13% say it’s too liberal, and 15% say the balance is about right.
• Voters overwhelmingly believe that, when faced with a dispute between government regulations and individual freedom, the court supports regulation over freedom.
  • Just 17% say the court favors individual freedom more.
  • Forty-one percent (41%) believe it favors government regulations, while 29% say the court equally supports individual freedom and regulations.
  • A majority (51%) of Democrats say the court supports regulations over freedom, and only 31% of Republicans agree.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, March 4-5, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
