40% Say Shutdown Has No Impact on Daily Lives

• Fifty-seven percent (57%) of voters say there is currently a partial federal government shutdown.
  • One quarter (24%) say there is not a shutdown at this time.
  • A majority of Republicans (63%) and Democrats (59%) say the federal government is partially shut down.
  • During the first week of last government shutdown, more voters (71%) said there was a shutdown.
• Of those who know about the current shutdown, 40% say it has had No Impact on their daily life.
  • Thirty-two percent (32%) say the partial federal government shutdown has had Hardly Any impact on them.
  • Just 17% say the shutdown has had Some impact, and 8% say it has impacted their daily lives A Lot.
  • Both Democrats (71%) and Republicans (76%) say the shutdown has had Hardly Any impact or No Impact on their daily lives.
  • Government employees have seen an impact, with 31% saying the shutdown has had Some impact and 17% saying A Lot.
