40% Approve of Attacks on Iran: Still no Movement

As the Iran War nears the end of its second week, 40% of voters favor the attacks on Iran that started the war.
- That number is identical to when attacks were launched February 28, as well as shortly after on March 2.
- A brief bounce to 42% on March 4 is likely just statistical noise.
- Currently, 50% oppose the attacks.
- A majority (68%) of Republicans favor the attacks, while a majority (75%) of Democrats oppose.
Meanwhile, President Trump’s approval rating on the overall situation in Iran is similar, though slightly higher — 42% approve, while 50% disapprove.
Finally, 30% are following news of the Iran story Very Closely.
- That is down 1 point from last week and down 2 from when the war began.
- This story peaked at 33% following Very Closely in the days following the initial attack.

This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, March 9-10, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
