33% Say Trump Is Focused on the Right Things

  • Just a third (33%) say President Trump is focused on the right things. Three out of 5 registered voters (60%) say that President Trump is being distracted by things that are less important.
    • The parties are divided, as 89% of Democrats say he’s distracted, and 67% of Republicans say he’s focused on the right things.
    • By a 64% to 27% margin, Traditional GOP voters say Trump is distracted, but not surprisingly, 85% of voters who prefer Trump-like policies say he’s focused on the right things.
  • Even fewer voters (20%) say Congress is focused on the right things. With regard to Congress, 66% of voters say Congress is also being distracted by things that are less important.
    • By a 76% to 12% margin, Democrats say Congress is distracted rather than focusing on the right things.
    • Republicans agree by a 55% to 31% margin that Congress is distracted.
    • Forty-one percent (41%) of voters who talk politics every or nearly every day think Congress is focusing on the right things.


This data is from a Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters conducted online by Scott Rasmussen, February 4-5, 2026. RMG Research, Inc., conducted the field work for the survey. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
